NETGEAR® CEO Patrick Lo Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2006 National Award Winner in Technology

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — December 1, 2006 — NETGEAR, Inc.(Nasdaq: NTGR), a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking products, today announced that its chairman and chief executive officer, Patrick Lo, has been named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2006 National Award Winner in the Technology category. Patrick Lo was recognized from approximately 300 regional winners by an independent panel of judges consisting of business leaders and past Entrepreneur Of The Year winners. The award was presented at the annual Ernst & Young gala event in Palm Springs, California.

In June of this year, Mr. Lo received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in the Networking/Communications category in the Northern California region. Mr. Lo co-founded NETGEAR in 1996 with Mark Merrill, the company’s chief technology officer, and took the company public in 2003.
The Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program was created and is produced in the United States by Ernst & Young LLP. From a single program in 1986, the awards have expanded to 26 regions in the U.S. and 39 countries worldwide.
